Indian e-commerce player Craftsvilla.com is looking to expand in offline market through a pan-India franchisee network. This will help the 5000+ sellers’ network of Craftsvilla.com to tap customers who are not yet online but are looking for vast collection and variety of Indian products like Jewellery, saris, salwar suits and handicrafts at one place. The website is looking to open 50+ franchise stores in India in the next 12-18 months.
Manoj Gupta, CEO, Craftsvilla.com, said: "We see this as a step towards quantum growth in our business by mixing offline and online business models and utilising strength of our brand, supply base, current customer base and technology to reach more and more customers in India.” For Craftsvilla endorsed boutique store one has to shed Rs 1 lakh as annual fee and RoI projected is three months.
Craftsvilla.com also plans to extend its online brand and supply base of more than 2 lakh products, while planning to tap tier II and III cities and towns through its franchisee network. Craftsvilla Lite franchise opportunity is available at an investment of Rs 5 lakh. RoI is 3-4 months. At an investment of Rs 10 lakh one can get Craftsvilla premium franchise opportunity. The fee can be paid quarterly. Projected RoI on this franchise model is at least six months.
