Tanishq, a jewellery brand of Tata Group is planning to set up 25-30 large format retail stores every year across the country. As per company official, 80 per cent of the expansion will be done via franchise route.
With the new stores, new launches and investment in marketing, the brand targets to increase its share in the estimated USD 25 billion market. The stores in big cities would be spread across 10,000 sq. ft and in smaller towns an average area would be around 4,000 sq. ft.
Presently, the company operates 131 Tanishq stores in 76 cities across the country. Besides, expanding its retail presence, Tanishq is also introducing new collections and brands to target new customers.
Recently it launched a new brand 'Mia' for working women. Tanishq also launched a new 'Glam Gold Collection' inspired by traditional Nakkashi technique of Tamil Nadu, elaborate Rajasthani kundan and enameling. For its new collection, it has partnered with World Gold Council.
