Neeraj Basur is a seasoned finance leader with over three decades of cross industry experience, known for combining deep financial expertise with strong governance and enterprise risk management capabilities. He currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Trent Ltd, a Tata Group company, a role he has held since June 2022. Prior to this, he was the Group Chief Financial Officer at Blue Star Limited from 2014 to 2022, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening financial strategy and organizational performance. Earlier, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Max Bupa Health Insurance from 2009 to 2014 and as Senior Vice President Corporate Finance at Max India Ltd from 2002 to 2008. His earlier career includes key finance leadership roles at HCL Technologies, Spice Telecom, and Escorts Limited, where he built a strong foundation in finance and cost management.

Alongside his executive roles, Basur also served as an Independent Director at Integrace Private Limited from 2019 to 2025, a portfolio company backed by True North and Temasek, further reflecting his governance and strategic oversight capabilities.

Throughout his career, he has stepped beyond comfort zones to drive constructive disruption, leading strategic process transformations and performance excellence initiatives across organizations. Education Qualification

Neeraj Basur is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, with specialization in Strategic Financial Management, completed between 1988 and 1992. He is also an Associate Company Secretary (ACS) from The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, qualified in 1997. Further strengthening his expertise in governance and risk, he earned the CFIRM Certified Risk Professional credential from the Institute of Risk Management in 2020. Most recently, he completed the IICA Certified Environmental Social Governance Professional programme as an Impact Leader in ESG and Sustainability from the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs between July 2023 and January 2024.
