Vinay Dhanani is a seasoned operations and supply chain leader with a strong track record of building and scaling large, complex businesses across new-age startups and established corporations. He currently serves as President at Zepto, a role he assumed in 2023, after successfully leading the company as Chief Operating Officer from 2021 to 2023. At Zepto, Vinay played a pivotal role in strengthening operations, enhancing efficiency, and supporting the company’s rapid expansion in the highly competitive quick-commerce space.
Operations & Supply Chain Leader Driving Scalable Businesses
Prior to Zepto, Vinay was Director – Grocery Supply Chain at Flipkart (2020–2021), where he focused on optimizing supply chain networks and scaling grocery operations across markets. Earlier, he spent nearly five years at RIVIGO (2015–2019) as Head of Network Operations, contributing to the transformation of India’s logistics ecosystem through technology-led and process-driven innovations.
Vinay began his professional journey at ITC Limited, where between 2008 and 2015 he held multiple roles across manufacturing, product development, and supply chain. His responsibilities ranged from Factory Manager and Process Owner to Assistant Manager, giving him deep, hands-on exposure to operations excellence in a large, diversified enterprise.
Academically, Vinay holds a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (2004–2008). He completed his Class XII education in Science from Laurels School International, Indore.
